Habitat: Ca. 11 mi. SE of Richmond Hill, ca. 1.3 mi. NNE of Kilkenny. Richmond Hill Wildlife Management Area (Ga. Dept. of Natural Resources). Ancient shell midden at marsh edge, west of Kilkenny Creek; Sageretia minutiflora close by, in Carya glabra-dominated woods with much Cercis canadensis and Aesculus pavia in the understory. At least a dozen buckthorns, varying from small tree-sized to shrubs less than 1m tall.
