Habitat: Occasional and scattered in this area, but these plants are from a reasonably dense popultaion, all the individuals about the same size, congested in a scrapey area on margin of open plow line, wtih Symphyotrichum concolor, Cirsium nuttallii, Clematis viorna, Chaptalia tomentosa on gritty/peaty ground of open savanna on west side of gentle bend in Forest Service Rd 212B
