Habitat: Small woody evergreen shrub approximately 11 ft. high and 10 ft. wide; large leaves ranging from 10 in. to 1 ft., slightly crenate, oblong-lanceolate, new growth with pubescence and rust colored hispid beneath, along with small teeth on margins; flowers are white, almost 1 in. across in a pubescent terminal panicle; collected next to Heavenly Bamboo in center of walled garden.
