Blooming just beginning here. Climbing in a young Liquidambar styraciflua; blossoms about 6' above ground. Dry, sandy soil; edge of woods dominated by Pinus taeda, with understory of Vaccinium arboreum. N side of road leading from field to NE edge of pond. 10 miles E of Camden, 1 mile N of Hwy. 34 on Stokes Rd., 0.32 mile W of Stokes Rd. Elev. 312'.
